I’ve had the chance to work with Ken in some of the writing challenges of two verses or random subjects a few times now. It is always fun to have someone you can understand at a creative level. Since he has the talent to achieve his dream of becoming a rockstar, I figured we also do a photo session and get him the portrait/cover he can benefit from.
I just had my First time at Lovers Point in Pacific Grove, CA. on a photo session last night. I’m not sure if its because of the drive that I haven’t gone that far for a shoot, but the park looks very pretty. Sergio and Maria wanted to come back for their engagement session to this very special place where previous amazing memories had been created among them.
One of the reasons why I enjoy photography so much is the opportunity to not only get to know more people and places but you get to experience and see the beauty on those places and how special they are in the eyes of those seeing it. Thank you guys hope you like my work 🙂
It’s been couple years now since I first saw the first studio work, its flow and the results by this one amazing, well knows photographer: Zack Arias. I believe it was somewhere in YouTube I manage to land a video of him and after a quick Google search I landed on a short clip of him that struck me. His short clip name is Transform; though it was originally made for Scott Kelby. I saw that video and it struck more more of a “that’s how I feel or think” instead of the usual, “wow, that photographer is great, I wish I could be like that.” Even though, I did wish I could create something as amazing as he did and has. Having seen some videos of him and then that short film made me see photography more as “myself” and because of him I am in search of my own style, not trying to copy someone else. Inspired on his work I’ve been trying to improve my studio photography. I wonder if he was to see my work, what advice I would get to improve my photography style…
Over the weekend I had the opportunity to go back to Gizdich Ranch where I did a shoot couple weeks ago. Miriam had the idea to go in with her mother and sister to have a family session. Which I must say it turned out pretty fun. Catching the sunset on a photoshoot might be the most interesting and beautiful enhancement to any shoot. I was lucky enough to be able to work near sunset so I got to capture that perfect golden hour.
Felipe & Elizabeth Photo shoot at the Gizdich Ranch couple weeks ago. They are such an awesome couple. It was a blast getting to take their pics. On the process I ended up burning out my Photoflex Triton Flash but thanks to the warranty Photoflex ended up fixing it.
I got the opportunity to shoot this amazing couple over the weekend. It’s so inspiring to see what love can accomplish and the things we can do for the person we love. I think changing cities to be with the girl you love is proof enough that not only you care about her, but you are willing to do what you can to make things work and keep her happy. With so many cool images to choose from, here are my favorite…
I went with the Photoflex TritonFlash, and their medium softbox which makes a combination mighty amazing. I am still in love with the Photoflex equipment. Being a Portrait photographer I was inclined to stay with a longer lens, as I had been taking pictures of the game with my telephoto 100-400m, but I am glad I opted to change that when the lights were all set up.
I am pretty amazed of the result, I know I will have to come up with something to top those images up soon. Here’s my One-on-One Basketball session.
